Great crib at a low price!
I shopped around for quite a while and I finally settled on this crib. It was a more reasonably priced crib that I found. It arrived within 2 days and was in perfect condition. The wood is beautiful (we bought the espresso finish). It wasn't too bad to put together either, might have taken an hour. I can already tell that the finish will be sensitive to scratching and dings. A light finish may be less obvious to any blemishes. Otherwise it is very sturdy and fits a standard crib mattress. We got the Colgate Classica I and it is a perfect fit! We also bought the matching changer. I would recommend this product!

Pretty solid crib
We originally got a drop-side crib from a friend when they no longer needed it. That was fine for us as we weren't looking to spend a lot of money on a crib. Then, the recent crib recall made us a little nervous (our crib wasn't recalled though) and we had an incident where the drop side got stuck in the down position and then fell on my foot. We decided to replace our crib with a static side one. We decided on this one in the cherry finish to match our existing changing table. I had read about the wood being soft - that is definitely true. We were careful when we assembled it, but still managed to scratch it once. The scratch is on the top rail, but I covered it with a crib rail protector so we can't see it (the crib rail protector is by Trend Lab if you're interested).

As far as the condition of the crib goes - our crib arrived in great condition. The box had a couple of dings in it, but everything inside was pretty well protected and nothing was missing. The pieces all looked and felt solid. The instructions were ok, but I had to go through them carefully. I'd suggest taking out the hardware and separating the items there before starting to assemble the crib. Unless you have extra wide doorways you will have to assemble the crib in the room where you want it. Our nursery is small with other furniture already in place, so we staged all the parts in the living room and brought the partially assembled pieces into the nursery. Fully assembled, the crib is solid and does not wobble at all. It's not so heavy that you can't move it if you need to. Bottom line is my husband really likes the crib, it has a nice style, and we are both confident that it is safe for our baby. I also like the fact that the crib can convert to a toddler bed (rail included).

Beautiful crib! (Purchased in Espresso)
My husband and I got the package in this past weekend and put together the crib on Sunday in about 1 hour...we thought the instructions were fine and it was very simple to put together. The espresso color is beautiful and we're very glad we picked it. It seems to be pretty stable and well-constructed, although we aren't due until May and obviously haven't used it yet. I'm not sure if we were more careful than others when putting it together but we also didn't get any scratches on it...so not sure if the complaints of easy scratching are valid. The one complaint I do have are the stickers on the wood...

Solid construction, easy to assemble ...
This crib has looks elegant, and feels solid and secure. It is relatively easy to assemble.

I have it assembled as a crib but initially tried the day bed configuration. The one thing about the day bed configuration is that it only works when the matress spring is installed at the lowest of four heights. Full bed transition needs additional parts.

Darker but still beautiful
The color of this crib is darker than the picture. But it still a very beautiful crib. I had received my crib and noticed a huge gash in one of the railings. I immediately contacted Amazon and told them about my problem. The person who replied was very nice about everything and sent me out a brand new entire crib to replace the other one. They overnighted it as well. I am VERY impressed with Amazon.
